Kayla appreciates it very much <33333. Oh. And this IS Kayla, I just find it amusing to refer to myself in third person. :3 I hope you all can agree with that. And I also hope you don't think this is a random hacker saying this is kayla writing in third person kayla talk, cause this is legit!

This weekend I went to my first anime convention: NASHVILLE ANIME DAY!
It was small but jampacked with cosplayers and random knicknacks.
I was a cosplayer.... but I forgot to take a picture (hahahaa, kinda)

Some of the things I splurged on: (all the stuff is SO expensive)
- Entrance fee (only $3?!)
-Kitty ears with bells and tassels $18
-The yellow cat hat from Moonphase $18
- Random humongous box of win- scared me a little $10
- Different box of not win- weird $10
- 2 bags that were also random- random bento boxes inside-both $20
- Candy - $13.50

Here's the candy:

-Orange ramune
- PUMPKIN pocky
- Random gummies
- Little chocolate boxes
- Gum, with the purple top....I actually got that from a speaker that came to my library and talked aaaalll about Japan. (Free recessions!)
-More gum, in blue wrappings-with different fillings
-Rainbow package, kinda like starbursts. But OMFG delish.

AMV ATTACK

We all know amv's by now (animated music videos), where people put anime to music and such?
Well, because of my friend, Sami, I am now making them, tewww.
Here's my first based on Mamotte Lollipop.

Clay-ay-ay-ay!

I went a little clay crazy this week, buying all the knickknacks and doohickeys I do not need at all, whatsoever.

But, damn, they're useful! (my poor poor wallet)

-clay (30 color pack) + one regular chunk = 25 + 2

-exacto-knife, hobbylobby knockoff included were about five blades = 4

-clay extruder and 19 shapes = 11

-pasta machine = 25

ALL EQUALS......

Kayla's a dumbass.

But I learned something--LISTEN UP-- as long as you have enough copies, you can keep going up and using the discounts (at hobby lobby). I did this with my 40% discount. -on the clay, pasta maker, and a 15 buck organizer.

Adds up, real quickly.

I felt like doing crappy imitations of anime jewelry this weekend.....

It looks nice enough to me.

The one with the design is supposed to be like Sheeta's from Laputa: Castle in the Sky.

And the moon is Hazuki's/Luna's from Moonphase.
(I said I'd do this! -one of my first posts, lol-)

I have no clue why this blew up to like 3x its original size....

Obsession With... Limbless People?!

You heard me right: Limbless people. (The Oblongs) NOT THAT TYPE!

One thing I hate about so many ami's is repeating a pattern over and over and over again. Like with arms, legs, ears, wings, and other extremities. Two of each! Sometimes four!! What's wrong with one?!
That's why when I was working out the kinks of basic crocheting, I deleted those from my characters-- bringing you the Ugly Doll . An uglier Kayla-fied version.
I sold them to my friends and kept others for myself... A pretty sweet deal if I say so myself. I've discontinued making them, but here are two for your viewing enjoyment.

The one to the left is a ami-cature (caricature) of one of my besties, Alaina. The other is a bride- person- thing. As much as I dislike them... they were my firsties- Along with Ugly Owl, Lollipops, Ugly Garlic, A Just Plain Ugly Cat, and beyond. Ahh, memories....

On another note, I'm finishing up on a season of Spice and Wolf.
Wonderful anime (with subtitles, boo hoo xD)
I can't wait until the next season is released on the internet. I'm getting twitchy.

Eventually... (I'm sooo lazy) I'll make some ami of these guys.
